Treasure in the Stream

IMG_8360Treasure in the Stream: The Story of a Gold Rush Girl by Dorothy and Thomas Hoobler is about a 10 year old girl named Amy. Amy lived in hot California at the time of the Gold Rush.

The problem in the story is when Amy finds 2 jars of gold in the stream behind her house and many people come to her house to search for more gold .
Amy and her family decided to move because her farm was ruined by all the miners. They used Amy's gold to move move to San Francisco and buy her father a ship.

In the story my favorite part is that Amy used her gold wisely and not with out thinking.

What is your favorite part?
